Milt Kahl Disney family album

Milt Kahl is my favourite Nine Old man. I really respond to his strong poses, eye for detail, sense of observation and draftmanship. People who can draw like him are really really rare.

Here are 3 videos from the Disney Family Album

Ward Kimball videos

I just love the sheer wackiness of Ward Kimball.

Director:
“The duck goes out to the right and comes in to the left, you can’t do that, that’s not logical, you need to have those tie ups, it has to make sense”
Ward:
“Look… who cares! That gives it it’s flavour, it’s craziness”

Annecy bookings are starting tomorrow for those of us who already registered so here is a rundown.

If I remember correctly, the showreel reviews and job interviews only start with the Mifa mid week and are held in the morning so if we want to see a lot of shorts we’d better pack them monday/tuesday or in the afternoon the rest of the week.

Here is my schedule as of this morning. […] Read more

This website has been “in construction” for years so I have decided it was time for some structural but also cosmetic changes before carpet bombing every forum with my new Game showreel.

I am hoping to get this finished before the end of next week.

Just to test a new WordPress plugin and because I always had a fascination for Fonts and Typography

And an other link because I am a sucker for Graphic design in motion. Pay attention to the funny accent. (Argentinian?)

Casual vs Hardcore game

As pointed out by Kotaku in a recent post, Ghostbusters the game is coming to PS3, Xbox 360 and the WII. Now something fairly unusual is that the next gen consoles (PS3 and Xbox) will get a scarier and more realistic version of the game when the WII will get a more cartoony, kids friendly facelift. It will be interesting to see which version sells the most. The cartoony casual looking version or the Hardcore one? I am betting on the WII side here but let see, that will be an interesting battle.

CG society just published an interview of Pixar’s Peter Sohn. Peter Sohn followed Brad Bird when he joined Pixar 9 years ago and went from production artist to animation then story and now director on Pixar’s new short film “Partly cloudy”.

It’s coming!
