I joined an evening illustration class at the start of the year at the Saint Luc adult learning center and being in Belgium, the illustration class quickly turned out to become a Comics class or “Bande Dessinées” as we say in French.
Here is my first comics assignment where we were tasked to create a simple 2 to 3 panel story based on a character we designed in the weeks prior.
Being a big fan of spy and adventure stories, I thought I could try something a bit different than my regular biographical stories and instead, go with an efficient out of retirement intelligence officer that carries out operations in foreign dictatorships.
It was all sketched on paper then cleaned up in Clip Studio.
Even if Epic came out in 2013 and most of those screenshots might be outdated, I still feel they would be of interest for people interested in facial topology and a good resource for a future overall facial topology article and facial rig calisthenics.
Blue Sky topologies are very rare online so I used ChopRig system lead developer Daniel Lima’s showreel for reference. You will see meshes and wireframes from 2019 “Spies in Disguise” and 2013 “Epic”.
