Mark Kennedy from the “Temple of the Seven Golden Camels” wrote a nice post about Character design some time ago. This will inaugurate the creation of a new Character Design category on my blog. Character design is something I would like to focus on one day but this is not my priority right now. In the meantime I will collect articles that could prove useful.

Passion Pictures Pete Candeland directed the “Beatles” Rockband game intro. The first part is in 2d giving us a summary of the Beatles career with stylised band members and the second part is all in CG done in the London studio.

Check out the credits for more infos, you will recognize few names from Gobelins “Burning Safari” and a well known XSI modeler.

Since I am back to Symbian and my Nokia N95, I have been hunting for similar application to the ones I am used to on Windows Mobile.

Nokia sport traker is awesome! That software (or Apps for the hipsters) is very easy to use, only requires few buttons pressing and saves all your datas to a calendar automatically so you can easily set targets and evaluate how close you are getting to your goals.

Some animation showreels from animators who worked on “Cloudy with a chance of meatballs” have surfaced on the net. I am unsure if this was a very good idea since the movie has only been out for few week around the world but well… the movie is great so here is one more opportunity to see some of the best shots and maybe convince your friends to GO AND WATCH IT!

Je viens de decouvrir plusieurs interview video de Mathieu Cassagne, Lighteur chez Pixar. Tres interessant surtout quand on sait que les lighteurs sont en forte demande aux Etats Unis. Ils etaient 40 sur UP and Mathieu nous fait partager son experience apres 8 mois chez Pixar.

well, I just started working for the UK branch of Electronic Arts, the Bright Light studio located in beautiful Guildford. The only thing I can say is that it is a new IP and it is a really cool project. I am doing a crazy amount of commuting between Guildford and London at the moment but hopefully I will be able to settle down very quickly and find the time for my personal projects.
